Who We Are

Creating artwork is only part of an artist’s legacy. Preserving it is equally important.

VESO was founded by Michael and Nataisiah Marrella through a shared belief that artists, estates, and private collectors deserve thoughtful, capable support in caring for the work and information entrusted to them.

Our perspective brings together complementary experience across the art world, client service, and operations. Michael is an artist with a professional background in fabrication, art handling, installation, galleries, artist studios, and artist-estate work. Nataisiah brings experience in client service, hospitality, operations, and artist-studio support, with a focus on thoughtful systems, coordination, partnerships, and client experience.

Michael and Nataisiah also spent more than two years working as studio assistants, providing firsthand understanding of the day-to-day realities behind making, handling, organizing, and caring for artwork.

The idea for VESO took shape through Michael’s ongoing work with a New York artist estate, a large-scale project involving more than a thousand artworks alongside sketchbooks, archival records, photography, packing, storage, organization, and collection transitions. Seeing the complexity of stewarding decades of artistic work made clear the need for reliable, coordinated support that extends beyond any single service.

Today, VESO supports artists, estates, and private collectors through collection organization, inventory and documentation, archive organization and digitization, collection coordination, installation support, and ongoing stewardship.

We believe every collection holds more than objects. It holds years of work, relationships, ideas, and history. Through thoughtful stewardship, we help preserve what matters and prepare collections for what comes next.

Michael Marrella — Co-Founder

Michael is an artist with professional experience across artist studios, galleries, art-handling companies, fabrication, installation, and artist-estate work. His hands-on practice includes working with complex artworks, collection organization, packing and movement, installation, storage coordination, documentation, and long-term estate stewardship.

His ongoing work with a New York artist estate involving more than a thousand artworks and associated archival materials became an important catalyst for the creation of VESO.

Nataisiah Marrella — Co-Founder

Nataisiah brings a background in client experience, hospitality, operations, and artist-studio support to VESO. Her work centers on the organizational and client-facing side of the business, including project coordination, service development, documentation systems, partner relationships, and creating a clear, considered experience for artists, estates, and collectors.

Her experience working inside an artist’s studio alongside Michael also provides firsthand understanding of the processes, environments, and relationships surrounding the creation and care of artwork.

Shared Experience

Together, Michael and Nataisiah bring complementary experience across artist studios, art handling, fabrication, client service, operations, documentation, and collection stewardship. That combination shapes VESO’s approach: attentive to both the physical work and the people responsible for caring for it.

The name VESO is inspired by the Haitian Creole word for vessel. For us, it represents the idea of being vessels of honor—objects, collections, and legacies that deserve thoughtful care, stewardship and respect. This belief continues to shape how we approach each body of work, from the documentation and organization to the long-term collection support.
